Synopsis

Sex. Greed. Ambition. Welcome to Hollywood.

What made it worse was that Hunter seemed to be living her dream, fulfilling her destiny. For as long as she could remember, Siena had wanted to be an actress. Although she knew you weren't supposed to say it, what she longed for above everthing else was to be famous. Not just Duke McMahon's grandaughter or Pete McMahon's little girl - she wanted serious fame, the real deal, in her own right. She wanted the whole world to love her, to have people scream out her name. To be adored, just like Duke had been adored. That was her dream...

To the outside world, Siena McMahon has a fairytale life. Born into a great Hollywood dynasty - granddaughter of forties movie legend Duke McMahon, daughter of billionaire producer Pete McMahon - she is blessed with beauty, brains and wealth, a proverbial princess.

But behind the wrought-iron gates of the sprawling McMahon mansion in the Hollywood Hills, life is far from happy. The McMahons are bound together not by love, but by ambition and greed. When a gold-digging English aristocrat, Caroline Berkeley, worms her way into their lives and their home, the fault lines in the feuding family are blown open.

In an effort to protect Siena from the fall-out, her parents pack her off to school in England. But Siena has a burning ambition. She is determined to become a Hollywood star in her own right, just as her grandfather once said she would be. One way or another, Seina McMahon is going to return to LA and take the City of Dreams by storm. And woe betide anyone who gets in her way...

Gliding effortlessly from the forties to the millennium, from LA to London, Paris to New York, Adored sweeps across three generations of Hollywood's brightest stars. Deliciously escapist and wickedly sexy, Tilly Bagshawe's debut novel announces the arrival of a bright new star in womens' fiction.
