Did you know that prehab is the bender you go on before entering rehab, intaxication is the high you experience when you receive your tax rebate cheque, and spendorphins are those good feelings released while shopping?
Celebrated writer and applied linguist Ruth Wajnryb brings us these and many more of the latest buzzwords in FUNKtionary: a cheeky collection of contemporary words. Inspired by the prevalence of blogabulary and camouflanguage, FUNKtionary is the end product of grit, wit and lexpionage -a wacky collection of words that will fill you with awe at the flexibility and playfulness of the English language.
So say goodbye to verbal hygiene and snoopervision, settle back and fill the jargon gap with FUNKtionary, a storehouse for the latest in weblish, cryptolect and other sniglets that will satisfy the techno-savy digerati and anxious jitterati.
